Hub & Cafe Lund

Our mission

A central hub in Lund to make sustainable living visible and achievable for all citizens. The HUB unites several established volunteer-driven initiatives – Circle Centre Lund, Lunds Matvarukooperativ, Food Saving Lund, ABC, and Lunds Bilpool under one roof.

By fostering sharing, local consumption, waste reduction, and community building, this volunteer-driven space should tangibly transform how Lund residents engage with sustainability, creating a more vibrant, equitable, and resilient city.

Four core aims

  1. Increase Social Cohesion: By providing an inclusive meeting place with an affordable café, community fridge, and child-friendly area.
  2. Showcase Existing Sustainability Initiatives: Centralizing information, events, and resources from various local organizations and the municipality.
  3. Facilitate Experimentation & Innovation: Offering a flexible space for new sustainable practices and community-led projects.
  4. Engage People in Sustainable Activities: Hosting diverse workshops and events (e.g., swaps, repairs, local food courses) for all ages.
